North Collin Special Utility District (NCSUD) originated in 1970. Until then, the folks in the rural part of this area depended on water wells as a source of drinking water.
We purchase treated water from Lake Lavon through North Texas Municipal Water District in Wylie and have approximately 190 miles of pipe in the ground to deliver the water to our approximately 2100 customers. We have two overhead storage tanks and five ground storage tanks that have the total capacity of 1,970,000 gallons. NCSUD monitors and maintains four pump stations, an overhead storage site and an office site.
We employ eight staff members: a general manager, office manager, 2 billing clerks, field foreman, and 3 field technicians. Our office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the exception of holidays.
